Ok this is getting annoying please help?

ok i have AVG and spybot S&D for security and they say nothing is wrong. my internet is becoming unresponsive i use Firefox. when i search it just says "connecting". this problem is also causing my windows media player to freeze and not load my music. and yahoo says somthing about IPv6 and that i have IPv4 and ill just have to use that... what is wrong with my computer?!!?!!?1 its a windows XP
