Can I still be considered a Democrat?

I've always considered myself to be a Democrat but I feel like the party doesn't share my beliefs. It's not Obama, I've liked him for several years and we do share many common ideas. It's more people like Pelosi, Cuomo in NY, and others who support ultra left ideas. I don't support gay marriage, abortion, banning all guns, amnesty for all illegals, and I think we should repeal the patriot act, something the party hasn't done. I still hold much of their beliefs such as taxation on the richest 5%, social security, medicare, universal healthcare and supporting the middle class. What do you think?
